Should Hull be renamed HULLYWOOOD ?

In recent years, the city has been dubbed 'Hullywood', as the likes of Netflix and Apple TV have come to Hull to film a variety of outdoor scenes for film and TV. The Old Town, in particular, has

attracted top productions such as Enola Holmes 2 with Millie Bobby Brown in her role as the energetic younger sister of the famous Sherlock Holmes.

Most recently the old town of Hull was the backdrop for new Apple TV drama Blitz directed by Steve McQueen and staring Stephen Graham.

The Green Ginger Hotel in the center of the old town became unrecognizable in its new guise as a 1800s tobacconist for Enola Holmes and Lils Cosy Restaurant in the Blitz. The hotel also had the privilege of hosting both stars and crew of both productions.
